Ryan Ball’s very first job was at Sports Unlimited at the retail store in the Plymouth Meeting Mall when he was 16, and now he is the President.

Ryan Ball credits his Dad, Uncle Dave, and his cousin Mike for their help and support to get him where he is today. “Sports Unlimited has been a family business from the start. I would say the vendors and sales reps I work with also have had a huge impact on me. Many of these reps have been working with Sports Unlimited and they have become a big part of my career,” Ryan explains. “They are always there to support us and we could not be the thriving company that we are without them.”

The pandemic made Sports Unlimited change and adapt, but Ryan and his team kept the company steady throughout it all. “I would say my proudest moment was helping my company survive and thrive in the pandemic despite many challenging and nervous times. We quickly altered our product mix, created work-from-home arrangements, and adapted how our entire company was run,” Ryan maintained. “This could not have been accomplished without an incredible business partner and employees who did everything they could to adapt.”

Born and raised in Montco, Ryan Ball always finds support from people in the local area. “Montgomery County has always been to me a group of generous and kind people. I often run into people that I have known from my childhood, and they always ask how my family is doing,” Ryan shares. “The community always seems to step up when someone is in need due to hard times. I feel very lucky to be part of this wonderful, diverse community.”
