By

Two Montgomery County trails are among the nineteen best trails in the Philadelphia region that are sure to cover all of your biking needs, according to Philadelphia Magazine.

Biking enthusiasts who are looking for a daylong ride should head out to Perkiomen Trail.

Most of this trail is just ten to twelve feet wide with a crushed-stone surface.

It will take you through open fields and wooded hillsides and provide plenty of watering hole trailheads alongside the Perkiomen Creek.

Running for 20 miles, it connects Lower Perkiomen Valley Park, Central Perkiomen Valley Park, and Green Lane Park.

And for those who would like a shorter excursion, Valley Forge National Historical State Park provides an hour or two of easy biking near nature.

The park offers more than 20 miles of trails, many of them paved and flat.

You’ll see all kinds of wildlife and gorgeous scenery, making the park an excellent place to ride your bike.

The highlights include the paved 6.6-mile Joseph Plumb Martin Trail on the south side of the park.

The best way to access the park is from 1400 North Outer Line Drive in King of Prussia.
