West Chester University invites novice and experienced project managers aspiring to become a professional and/or seek professional credentials to register for its Comprehensive Project Management Workshop.

The next class begins on Monday, Oct. 12 and meets online for three hours per session (3-6 PM) for eight weeks.

WCU’s instructor-led, distance learning workshop covers the full complement of sub-plans, methods, and procedures that span the typical project lifecycle from initiation to project close. It is designed to equip attendees with the complete set of skills and tools to consistently be an effective project manager.

Participants examine the role of the project manager and their involvement in managing the project’s lifecycle through defining tasks, time management, cost estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation. Each of the 10 Project Management Institute (PMI) Knowledge Areas will be covered in the modules presented to workshop participants.

The workshop is designed as a blended learning experience with 24 hours of synchronous and 11 hours of asynchronous learning, where participants apply the various tools and techniques discussed. Individual and group exercises are part of the learning experience.

After successful completion of the workshop, participants will be well prepared to take the Project Management Professional (PMP) examination. Course meets PMI qualifications and a West Chester University certificate will be awarded.
