Montgomery County August 25th COVID-19 Update: Weekend Case Count Reaches 139

Montgomery County reported 303 new positive cases of COVID-19 and no new COVID-19 related deaths as of Friday, November 20.

Based on the information found on the county’s COVID-19 website, here is a snapshot of the spread of coronavirus across Montgomery County.

Since the last update Friday afternoon, Montgomery County reported 139 new COVID-19 cases; 58 new cases on Saturday, 40 on Sunday and 41 on Monday.

As of Friday afternoon, Montgomery County reported 305 new coronavirus infections, an increase of 14 cases reported over the previous seven days.

Montgomery County’s 14-day count trend turned upward over the weekend.

The county reported 596 news cases over the last two weeks, 28 more cases than were reported during the previous 14 day period.

The 139 new positive cases reported Monday, pushed the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Montgomery County to 10,433 countywide.

Of the 10,569 COVID cases, 5,557 are females and 4,949 are males.

The average age of individuals with COVID-19 across the county fell back to 48.7 after climbing over 25 years-old late last week.

One new COVID-19 death nudged Montgomery County’s death toll up one to 826 individuals.

Montgomery County’s walk-up testing sites and operations are:

    • Tuesday/Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Lansdale – 421 Main Street. Testing is available:

    • Tuesday/Thursday from noon to 2 p.m.

Willow Grove – Montgomery County Office of Public Health, 102 York Road (this site will be moving). Testing is available:

    • Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from noon to 2 p.m.
    • Tuesday/Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Green Lane – Deep Creek and Snyder Road. Testing is available:

    • Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
    • Tuesday/Thursday from noon to 2 p.m.

Ardmore – 114 W. Lancaster Ave. Testing is available:

    • Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
    • Tuesday/Thursday from noon to 2 p.m.

Norristown – Delaware Valley Community Health Center at the Norristown Regional Health Center at 1401 Dekalb Street.

COVID-19 contact tracing efforts are ongoing and are critical to slowing the spread of the disease. The County has partnered with ACLAMO, Family Services of Montgomery County, Montgomery County OIC, and Visiting Nurses Association Community Services to help with contact tracing efforts.

Individuals who have been tested or identified as a direct contact of an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 and has received a call from any of our community partners may return the call to 610.278.5923 to find out their results or status. All information discussed on the call is strictly confidential and is only used to trace COVID-19 cases.
