Montgomery County COVID-19 Monday Afternoon Update – March 30th

Based on the information found on the County’s COVID-19 website and an update published by County officials Sunday, here is quick snapshot of the spread of coronavirus across Montgomery County and the Delaware Valley.

There were 27 new positive Montgomery County COVID-19 cases reported on Sunday, down slightly from 33 new cases reported Saturday. The decrease mark the third straight days with fewer positive cases reported in Montgomery County.

The positive cases are from 14 municipalities, only one of which, Marlborough Township, is reporting its two cases.

A breakdown of Sunday’s reported new positive cases follows:

  • Age Range: 15 – 81
  • Age Brackets: (1) 10 – 19, (5) 20 – 29, (1) 30 – 39, (6) 40 – 49, (4) 50 – 59, (8) 60 – 69, (1) 70 – 79, (1) 80 – 89
  • Gender: 14 females, 13 males
  • Hospitalized: (3) No, (22) Unknown, (2) Yes

The 27 new positive cases brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 431 countywide.

Of those 431 confirmed cases countywide, 220 are male, 207 are female.

The average age of individuals with COVID-19 is 47.3 years old with the youngest patient being a 1 year-old Royersford boy and a 95 year-old Abington man, the oldest.

Fifty of the County’s 62 municipalities are home to at least one individual with a positive COVID-19 diagnosis.

No new coronavirus deaths were reported in Montgomery County Sunday leaving the County’s COVID-19 death toll at 5, 10.2-percent of the 49 deaths attributed to the coronavirus statewide.

The County’s total number of reported cases represent 10.5-percent of the 4,087 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases across Pennsylvania.

By comparison, as of noon Monday, with the exception of Philadelphia County with 1,007 cases, neighboring and surrounding counties all have fewer positive COVID-19 cases than does Montgomery County:
