Giveadelphia, a new Philadelphia-based community organization of young professionals started by Lower Merion native Michael Rabinowitz, is beginning the New Year with a bang.

The organization, which has the mission to encourage young professionals to support non-profits in their communities, was started last summer and has already gained massive traction.

Its unique platform identifies like-minded individuals interested in philanthropy who are unsure of how or where to focus their efforts.

Using social gatherings and special events, the new organization matches them with local charities that are interested in building their reach.

Rabinowitz acts as Giveadelphia’s executive director.

“We want to start right here in our backyard and raise awareness for local non-profits that do not garner the same amount of attention of larger organizations around the area,” he said.

The organization launch into the 2022 new year last Feb. with its inaugural Love Back Ball. It was so well received that it sold out, benefiting The R.E.L.I.E.F. Foundation, a Blue Bell nonprofit.
