The US-China Biopharma Congress 2018 & SAPA-GP 16^th Annual Conference was held at the Sheraton Valley Forge in Montgomery County June 8.

A global conference, this is the flagship event for the Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association – Greater Philadelphia, a professional organization founded in 2002. This year’s theme was “Reshaping Collaborate Ecosystem to Drive R&D Innovation.”

The event saw more than 900 attendees, including several municipal government delegation teams from China and Philadelphia, more than 50 CEOs or executives from large big pharma companies in China, and high-level executives from local pharma companies such as GSK, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, BMS, and Teva.

The program covered topics including collaboration in drug discovery between the U.S. and China, pharmaceutical frontiers of cell and gene therapy and biologics CMC, scientific innovation for transformative drug discovery and development, and new trends in biotech startup ventures.

In addition, this year the association also hosted a job fair and organized workshops on career development and retirement and personal finances all dedicated to the specific needs of the audience.

The group’s mission is to foster professional development of members and the public through high-quality scientific programs, to promote scientific exchange and business cooperation between the U.S. and China, and to facilitate the advancement of pharmaceutical science and technology.

They strive to serve the rapidly growing pharmaceutical professional community in the Greater Philadelphia area, which is one of the major hubs for:
