And that sponsorship will allow golf fans to attend the tournament without paying an admission charge.

The Valley Forge Invitational will take place at Raven’s Claw Golf Club May 21 to 26.

“We all think it will be great to have everyone enter the tournament gate thanks to the Women’s Golf Association of Philadelphia,” said WGAP executive committee board member Jane Cousounis. “We are all dedicated to supporting women’s golf.”

On Monday, May 21 a free Junior Clinic will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Practice rounds will take place on Tuesday, May 22, followed by the gala Meet the Pros Party at nearby Sunny Brook Ballroom. That event is open to sponsors, pro-am participants and their guests. All Symetra Tour players will be in attendance.

The Pro-Am — three amateurs playing with one of the golf professionals from the LPGA Symetra Tour — will take place on Wednesday, May 23. Spectators are invited.

The three rounds of the 54-hole tournament will take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. All tournament rounds are open to the public with no admission charge, thanks to the efforts of WGAP.
