Exciting Summer Ahead for Visitors Coming to Montgomery County, PA
 
In a recent Comcast Newsmakers segment, the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board’s Chief Marketing Officer, Edward Harris, highlighted new initiatives and partnerships designed to attract visitors to Montgomery County this summer.
 
The new Montco Summer Hotel package offers guests a wide range of deep discounts to more than 10 area attractions when they book their stay. Partners include Legoland Discovery Center in Plymouth Meeting, Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, the King of Prussia Mall, local restaurants, and transportation provided by Lyft.

This year’s cover story features Montco native Emily Gimpel, who will be competing in the Valley Forge Invitational, a new LPGA Symetra tour stop coming to Raven’s Claw Golf Club in Pottstown in May. The guide also highlights the county’s 53 golf courses and is sent to 10,000 golfers within a 120-mile radius to encourage out-of-town golfers to play and stay in Montco.
 
In July the highly anticipated Cirque du Soleil show, Volta, arrives under the big top at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA for six weeks of entertaining shows. Also new is a partnership with the annual Wawa Welcome America celebration, where the tourism board’s Patriot Trails brand will be on display in Philadelphia to encourage more than 200,000 attendees to visit Montco’s numerous Revolutionary War historical points of interest.
