QVC’s CFO coming to UGI

The chief financial officer for QVC, based out of West Chester, is headed up Route 202 to Montco to take the same position for UGI.

Former Procter & Gamble executive Ted Jastrzebski has been hired as chief financial officer of UGI Corp., a propane distributor that also operates natural gas and electric utilities, writes Barrett J. Brunsman for bizjournals.com.

Jastrzebski spent 15 years with the Cincinnati-based maker of consumer goods such as Pampers diapers (NYSE: PG), rising to CFO of P&G India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

He will join the Pennsylvania-based energy firm by May 21. Jastrzebski joins UGI after serving since 2013 as CFO of the QVC Group of Companies, a video and e-commerce retailer with $14 billion in revenue and operations in eight countries.

Based in Valley Forge, UGI distributes propane domestically and internationally, manages midstream energy and electric generation assets in Pennsylvania, and engages in energy marketing primarily in the Mid-Atlantic region as well as parts of Europe. Through subsidiaries, UGI is the sole general partner and owns 26 percent of AmeriGas Partners, the nation’s largest retail propane distributor.
