Beginning this month, shoppers at the King of Prussia Mall will be able to purchase a glass of wine or craft beer at a newly launched pop-up “rustic, outdoor Wine Garden” from Chaddsford Winery, according to a story written by Alison Burdo in the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The pop-up concept is obviously not new to the suburbs with some craft breweries – like Conshohocken Brewery Company – offering the outdoor locales, and Chaddsford previously had a pop-up Wine Garden at Philadelphia’s Collins Park in Center City, Burdo wrote.

This will be the first time a pop-up serving libations will be coming to the mall.

Construction of the garden begins this week at the site, which is located between the Neiman Marcus and Macy’s department stores, according to a spokeswoman for the 25-year-old wine maker, the story continued.

There is no set opening date, but the aim is to be open to customers as soon as possible. Ed Harris, of the Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board, estimated the garden is about two weeks away from opening.

The Wine Garden, which includes fire pits, will serve Chaddsford’s seasonal speciality and warm, mulled wines, as well as craft beers from various Pennsylvania breweries.
