Thanks in no small part to the efforts of King of Prussia Business District, King of Prussia has transformed itself from a mega-mall into a desirable place to live, writes Melissa Romero for Curbed Philadelphia.

Eric Goldstein, executive director of the King of Prussia Business District, has been on the forefront of efforts to broaden King of Prussia’s living appeal for six years. Now close to $1 billion has been invested resulting in number of businesses relocating their headquarters there.

Developers have also been busy creating a number of mixed-use projects and the new town center has also attracted a number of national retailers.

However, all of this is just the start for King of Prussia. There are already thousands more square feet under construction, and even more are in the pipeline. This includes the long anticipated King of Prussia Rail Line.

“When I came to King of Prussia in 2011, what I saw was amazing,” said Goldstein. “King of Prussia is a true edge city, which is a town that is outside of the region’s downtown, but has an economy that’s so large it stands on its own.”
