Twenty-year-old Neha Raman, a North Penn High School Graduate who left Temple University to create her own business, is on the road to success, writes Diane Mastrull for Philly.com.

Rungh, which is the Hindi word for colors, is an online business that offers nail polish kits. The kit, which retails for $39.95, allows Reman’s customers to create over 132 different shades of nail polish. She also offers pigment refills and different colors to match the seasons.

The idea for Rungh’s mix-your-own-color nail-polish startup came to the North Wales’ resident while she was still in high school. Realizing its potential, Raman teamed up with a business partner and began perfecting her idea. Now their vision and hard work has won them a $30,000 prize from TLC’s Girl Starter for their business plan.

However, due to TLCs two month, 80 hour a week taping schedule, Raman had to take a year off from Temple and is now nervous about returning to her studies.

“It’s going to be weird going back to being a student,” explained Raman. “If this explodes to a level where I can’t do school anymore, this is first.”
