The Desmond’s Throwing a Big Party for Prostate Cancer Awareness

By

The Desmond Hotel in Malvern will be running over with craft beer, wine and spirits, oysters, appetizers, desserts, games, auctions, music, photo ops and fun when the 3rd Annual Bottoms Up for Prostate Cancer Awareness on April 1.

The 6 to 10 p.m. April Fools’ Day extravaganza is no joke for prostate cancer survivors, though. All proceeds will benefit the Pennsylvania Prostate Cancer Coalition, thanks to event sponsors Academic Urology, Bayer and WMMR.

The Desmond will pour out its hospitality with popular local brews, including Victory, Conshohocken, Sly Fox, Roy Pitz, Zero Day, Dogfish Head, 2SP and Levante, as well as wine and spirits.

Plus, a full spread of good food will entertain attendees’ tastebuds all night long with a freshly shucked oyster bar, an artist’s palette of dips, rotating tapas and appetizers, sliders, pasta, themed cakes and chocolates.

And that’s only the start to the night’s entertainment. There’s also small games of chance, a prize wheel, 50/50, $500 tear-off tickets, a silent and live auction, roving magician Steve Friedberg, live music with The Mike Caroto Band, keepsake group photos by ShutterBooth and caricature artist Dan Freed.

For those who think 10 o’clock is too early, there will also be an after-party at The Desmond’s Fox & Hounds Pub.
