Utilizing PowerOLAP software from nearby PARIS Technologies in Doylestown, Hatboro-Horsham is harnessing powerful data analysis to spend wisely and stay ahead of issues. The software enables automated monitoring of students’ grades, attendance, and disciplinary actions, according to a Philadelphia Inquirer report by Aswin Mannepalli.

“We are able to be proactive in providing services to students in need of help,” Director of Software Applications and Data Management Marc Greenberg said.

“It definitely has helped us make better decisions,” said Director of Business Affairs Robert Reichert. “It’s saved a ton of time in terms of gathering data and information to make those decisions.”

Hatboro-Horsham’s approach to harnessing data for better education puts the district at the forefront of what ought to become a trend among school districts, Penn professor Ryan Baker asserted.

“There’s a lot to be gained, especially for at-risk students and special-needs students with these analysis techniques,” he said.
