weisermazars_logo_rgb_colorsUpper Dublin native Kirk Eldridge has been named WeiserMazars’ Managing Partner for Pennsylvania, writes Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The New York accounting firm has expanded into Pennsylvania through the acquisition of Horsham’s Fishbein & Co. and the addition of 35 local professionals from the disintegrating LECG.

Eldridge, who is an Elizabethtown College graduate, spent 25 years working at Fishbein & Co. before the firm was acquired by WeiserMazars six years ago. During that time, he was in charge of assurance and accounting services.

The firm settled into its regional offices in Fort Washington four years ago. With the current trend of suburban accounting firms moving to Philadelphia, Eldridge is happy with the firm’s current location.

“We haven’t had a problem with it,” he said.

According to Eldridge, one of his primary goals will be to focus on growing brand awareness for the firm by sponsoring more events.

“We are pretty active with real estate and insurance in particular,” he said. “But there are lots of industries where we can do better in terms of PR.”
