Barbeque lovers are in for a treat next year, as Maryland’s Mission BBQ is expanding its number of restaurants in the region by opening one in the upcoming 260,000-square-foot King of Prussia Town Center, writes Kenneth Hilario for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

It will join the eight other restaurants that have already signed on to be part of JBG Companies’ King of Prussia Town Center project that aims to create a unique dining destination for the area.

In addition to great barbeque, including ribs and pulled-pork sandwiches, Mission is famous for its tradition of encouraging the entire restaurant to stand and sing the national anthem every day at noon.

The restaurant, which is expected to open in February next year, will be Mission’s sixth location in Greater Philadelphia with two more planned for Plymouth Meeting and Warminster.

“We are looking forward to being a part of this great community and continuing our Mission to serve those who serve,” said Linda Dotterer, brand ambassador for Mission BBQ.
