Pottstown Investors Conference announces additional keynote speakers

The popular trolley tour of investment opportunities will return this year to the Pottstown Investors Conference.

Pottstown Investors Conference organizers announced two additional keynote speakers for the April 12 event.

Nationally recognized urban and economic policy experts Diana Lind and Alan Berube will offer presentations on  sustainable communities. According to information provided by the conference’s co-sponsors: The Hill School and Hobart’s Run, the speakers were recommended by Don Chen, president of Surdna Foundation. The New York-based organization, according to its mission, “seeks to foster sustainable communities in the United States,” writes Donna Rovins in The Times Herald.

“This is an incredible opportunity for conference attendees,” Twila Fisher, director of community and economic development for The Hill School and Hobart’s Run, said in a press release. “Surdna is renowned as a philanthropic organization that strives to meaningfully improve communities’ quality of life. Their willingness to connect us with experts in this field is both inspiring and gratifying, as they have indicated they are excited about what is happening in Pottstown.”

Cathy Skitko, senior director of institutional public relations and Hobart’s Run communications, said Surdna President Don Chen spoke with Fisher “at length” about Hobart’s Run and Pottstown — including the challenges and successes — before reaching out to his network of experts.
