Lower Salford Township Hires New Public Works Director from Pool of 30 Applicants

Lower Salford Township has hired Lorenzo Cuoci as its new public works director, writes Bob Keeler for The Lansdale Reporter.

Cuoci, a Doylestown resident, was chosen from a pool of around 30 applicants. He will replace Arcangelo “Arcky” DiRocco, who was Lower Salford’s public works superintendent from 1994 until his death in April at the age of 63.

“He’s currently the operations manager for the Whitemarsh Township Sewer Authority,” Joe Czajkowski, township manager, said of Cuoci. “And prior to that, he was public works director in Warwick Township in Bucks County.”

During his first days at the office, Cuoci will need some help from the department’s other members to get acquainted with the intricacies of Lower Salford, said Czajkowski.

“We’re excited to have him start,” said Czajkowski, who also added that Cuoci’s salary will be $90,000. “I’ll take him around and introduce him to everyone.”
