J.P. Mascaro & Sons is proud to announce they are the first solid waste company to start curbside collection and recycling of flexible plastic packaging (FPP) in North America.

The Lower Providence-based company held a press conference Friday and invited township managers and other officials to hear about the new “green” technology they have invested in at their materials processing plant, TotalRecycle, in Exeter Township, Bucks County.

The company used the press conference to officially kicked off a pilot program that will make them the first solid waste company in the nation to offer single-stream curbside recycling of FPP.

Mascaro officials said curbside pickup of FPP will begin this summer in a township that already contracts with Mascaro and uses covered recycling trash cans.
