It was a banner giving season for Allstate insurance agencies in the Keystone state this year.

Allstate agencies throughout Pennsylvania and New England recently teamed-up with the Toys for Tots Foundation to collect new, unwrapped toys for local children, according to a press release from allstate.com.

Between October and December of 2018, participating agencies received over 5,500 donations from community members. Thanks to the volunteerism of participants, like Montgomery County agency owners Bill Schmitt and Leslie Intrieri, Toys for Tots received a $30,000 Allstate Foundation Helping Hands® Grant to further their work.

“This year’s Toys for Tots donation drive was a huge success thanks to our incredible customers and community members,” said Bill Schmitt, Ambler Allstate agency owner. “Our donation boxes were overflowing thanks to their generosity. I’m so proud to be a part of this community and to join my fellow Allstate agency owners in supporting such a great cause.”

Toys for Tots and The Allstate Foundation have worked closely together over the last two years to organize a multi-state donation drive in hundreds of Allstate agencies. Together, they have rallied communities across the Northeast to give back to families in need. Since 2017, Allstate volunteers in Pennsylvania and New England have earned $112,000 in Allstate Foundation Helping Hands® Grants for the Toys for Tots Foundation, helping fulfill the holiday dreams of thousands of children.
