Main Line Health announced to their employees earlier this month that effective January 2019, it will increase its minimum wage to $15 an hour for all employees across the health system, including full-time, part-time and per diem employees. This pay increase will benefit more than 1,200 employees.

Pennsylvania’s last minimum wage increase was in 2009, setting the current rate at $7.25 an hour. While Main Line Health has always offered competitive wages, the decision was made to increase minimum wage to $15 an hour Systemwide. Additionally, increases were awarded to employees who were already earning salaries near $15 an hour to ensure internal equity.
