We all love living in Montgomery County, which is in the heart of the state of Pennsylvania. We are blessed to live here! Not only do we have a great sense of community, but we have awesome art, exceptional entertainment, incredible restaurants and eateries; and some of the U.S’s top attractions and cherished historical sites can be found here in Montco.

If you have just one day to spend in Montco (and one day only) here are some of the best things that you must see and do here.

From taking a hike amongst nature to eating at some of the region’s best restaurants, Montgomery County has so much to offer. Whether you have guests coming into town or are just wanting to take a cheeky staycation, there are some great hotels and motels to call your (temporary) home. First up is Normandy Farm. Situated near King of Prussia, this stunningly-restored historical landmark has been converted into a hotel and is the perfect destination for a relaxing getaway. We also love the Chestnut Hill Hotel, which has the prettiest garden to stroll through.

If you are looking to eat out, Montgomery County offers an array of varied cuisine to choose from – from Asian to Italian and everything in-between. We love brunch, and the Founding Farmers brunch has to be one of the best places in the whole county on a Sunday! You are guaranteed to walk away with a full belly and a smile on your face.

Another great choice is the action-packed Valley Forge Casino Resort, where you can not only stay in stylish accommodation, but eat, drink and play, too! Numerous eateries can be found at the resort, including the Revolution Chop House, where you can enjoy everything from a New York Strip to a tender New Zealand Double Lamp Chop – delicious! If you are looking for a tasty fusion of flavors, then Asian Noodle is a great option – try the Pork and Shrimp Dumplings, the Shrimp Tempura and a variety of sushi dishes.

Visitors to the Resort can also enjoy some great live music and, of course, there are the games, too. From poker and roulette to the slots, there is something for everyone and you don’t have to be an expert player to do well.

Around 15 years ago, a man called Chris Moneymaker laid down the sum of $86 dollars to qualify for the World Series Poker Main Event. He subsequently beat the odds to make poker his career and has won millions of dollars since. It just goes to show that a night out at the casino could possibly change your life.

Talking of fashion, whether you are looking for vintage or antique items, designer clothes or artisan jewelry, Montgomery County is a shopper’s paradise. Visit the King of Prussia Mall or head to the different parts of the county to visit the likes of Ardmore, Skippack Village, the stylish Ambler and more. You are bound to pick up a bargain or two!
