Montco courthouse steps setting for Mission Kids award presentation

Local law enforcement officials, Montgomery County commissioners and state lawmakers gathered on the steps of the Montgomery County Courthouse as Mission Kids Child Advocacy Center was honored with the prestigious Governor’s Victim Service Pathfinder Award.

Department of Transportation Secretary Leslie Richards presented the award and read a citation on behalf of Governor Tom Wolf on Thursday, October 4, 2018 stating “Your dedication and passion to children has left an indelible impact on all the lives your work has touched. The commonwealth is privileged to have you as a representative of our values and traditions that move Pennsylvania forward. I applaud your unwavering commitment to improving the lives of your fellow citizens.”

“I know it’s been said they’re a leader in the commonwealth but trust me, you’re a leader in the country,” Richards personally addressed the organization during the award ceremony on Thursday. “The work you do is just quite extraordinary.”
