In advance of Veterans Day, career transition group focuses on those who’ve served

Veterans seeking work or who are in career transition are the focus of a special career event to provide insight, inspiration and networking on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Conference Center at Penn State Great Valley, Malvern, PA. “I Served My Country, Now What?” is hosted by Philadelphia Area Great Careers Group (PAGCG), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides workforce development and educational career management services, in conjunction with the Penn State Great Valley Alumni Society and My Career Transitions.

“I Served My Country, Now What?” is the second annual event to focus on veterans’ career-related issues in honor of the upcoming Veterans Day holiday. The event provides a Mission BBQ dinner, networking and presentations by veterans, along with employers and recruiters seeking to hire veterans. “The transition from a military assignment to a job as a civilian can be difficult, but we want our vets to know that we’re here to help them with every step and integrate them into our network,” said Lynne Williams, Executive Director, Philadelphia Area Great Careers Group.
