While our hopes may be high, we do like to dream that one day there will be one on every corner. No, we’re not talking about drugstores, we’re talking about brew pubs!

Nestled on High Street in Pottstown you will find Pottstown United Brewing. This 2 floor, 4,000 square foot location is the only brewery you will come across in the city, however after one conversation with the owner, you should expect to see others pop up… but more on that later, writes breweriesinpa.com.

Pottstown United was founded in part by a name that should be familiar to most PA craft beer fans; Steve Armstrong. You may remember Steve from Armstrong Ales in Phoenixville. Steve picked up the brewing equipment and moved North West to open the only brewery in Pottstown. Prior to that he was home brewing for roughly 5 years. So when it comes to the beer you are enjoying you can trust you are in good hands.

Located in what was once a former Tannery and Jewelry store that has been standing since 1885, PUB offers 2 floors at 2,000 square feet each. The bottom floor houses the 3 barrel brewing system. And up above you will find the brewery/ restaurant. Steve was so dedicated to the project that he gutted and rebuilt the interior of the building himself!

The brewery offers 10 of their beers on tap, along with many guest taps as well. In addition to the beer you can also enjoy a weekly rotating menu of food specials. A lot of the time we get asked if a brewery is good for a group of people with a wide array of palates. And we would say PUB is the perfect location for both the hardened craft beer fan, and the person looking for an enjoyable night out, regardless of the beer.
