Registration opens for Philadelphia Eagles’ 2nd annual Eagles Autism Challenge

The Philadelphia Eagles announced that the 2nd annual Eagles Autism Challenge presented by Lincoln Financial Group will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Lincoln Financial Field. One hundred percent of participant-raised funds from the team’s signature cycling and 5K run/walk event will go on to benefit world-class institutions that are conducting cutting-edge autism research in Philadelphia. The inaugural event, held in May 2018, raised in excess of $2.5 million, included the participation of more than 3,300 bikers, runners and walkers, and featured 24,700 donors from 20 countries.

The inaugural Eagles Autism Challenge, held back in May, raised in excess of $2.5 million. Those proceeds are being used to support autism research and programs being conducted at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Drexel University and Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health, writes John George in the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Participants who sign up as a cyclist prior to Monday, November 5 will have $50 waived off their registration fee. Registrants can use the promo code “ride19” on www.eaglesautismchallenge.org. Participants will receive access to the Friday Kick-Off Party and Saturday’s Finish Line Celebration at Lincoln Financial Field, free food and beverage, a cycling jersey or 5K t-shirt, finish line medal and a complimentary gift bag.

“The inaugural Eagles Autism Challenge was transformational in so many ways, but more importantly, it was a call to action,” said Jeffrey Lurie, chairman and CEO of the Eagles. “When we work together and set our sights on ambitious, yet attainable goals, we can become a catalyst for change.”
