Conshohocken Borough Mayor Yaniv Aronson, in collaboration with the Conshohocken Arts League, recently announced  the 2018 Conshohocken Arts Festival and Car Show will take place on June 2 from noon to 5 p.m. at Mary H. Wood Park.

Combining the town’s annual car show with a new opportunity for local artists to showcase their work, the festival will benefit the Conshohocken Art League, a charitable organization entering its 96th year, according to a press release.

“We are beyond excited to bring this event to the borough,” said Mayor Aronson. “Not only will this be a fun community festival to kick off the summer, but it will provide immeasurable support for the arts, which are fundamental to this and any community,” said Mayor Aronson.

The event will feature local artists’ original paintings, prints, drawings, photographs, and handmade original crafts for sale. Additionally, attendees will have the chance to see unique cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Local food vendors and live music will add to the festive atmosphere of the day.

“There are many beautiful cars in this greater community, and car owners consider them a work of art, so it was only fitting that we combined the Conshohocken Car Show with an Arts Festival,” said Glenn Quinn, Conshohocken Car Show Director. “Owners consider their cars a work of art and love to showcase them just like an artist showcases his or her work.”

“Not only will this festival be a terrific opportunity for the Conshohocken community to view both the varied work of dozens of regional artists and a display of treasured motor vehicles, it will also present an ideal atmosphere in which to directly speak informally with the artists and car exhibitors themselves. We are thrilled to participate!” said Eileen McDonnell, President of the Conshohocken Art League.
