Tech Talk: Google opens Philadelphia Cloud Developers Group

Google recently established its first Developer Group in the Philadelphia area in hopes of roping in some of Amazon Cloud’s market share.

A  Google Developer Group is a meetup session centered around cloud hosting and other topics, writes Roberto Torres at technical.ly.

In Philly, the company just launched GDG Cloud Philly, led by Old City-based developer Zach Russell.

The first Philly event is happening April 26 at Indy Hall. A dozen other cities across North America have similar chapters, and Russell thought Philly was due for one.
