With the Philadelphia Flower Show in full bloom until March 11, the Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board has focused its marketing and advertising attention on travelers with an eye for greenery.
Specifically, the tourism agency wants those visitors to stay at one of Montgomery County’s 77 hotels and take SEPTA into the city, writes Donna Rovins in the Times Herald.
For the third consecutive year, the Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board will sponsor a booth at the Philadelphia Flower Show that will highlight Montgomery County’s attractions, including information about the new Cirque du Soleil show coming to Oaks this summer. The tourism board will also distribute the organization’s first Montgomery County Arts Guide.
In addition, Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board Chief Marketing Officer Ed Harris said SEPTA will be giving something out at the Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board booth to try to increase visitation using trains.
