At a ceremony held in conjunction with the Bar Association’s Council of Past Presidents Dinner Meeting, present Bar officers and a group representing five decades of past MBA presidents gathered to welcome and pay tribute to the Montgomery County native, who was sworn in last January as the Commonwealth’s top lawyer and chief law enforcement officer.

During the ceremony, Council of Past President’s Chair William H. Pugh, IV, Esq. and President Eric B. Smith presented a plaque memorializing Shapiro’s Honorary Membership. In accepting his honor, Pennsylvania Attorney General Shapiro expressed gratitude for the meaningful role to which he’s been elected, and the passion he shares with those in attendance who work to uphold the Rule of Law and deliver justice.

Montgomery Bar Association’s Council of Past Presidents consists of the past presidents of the Montgomery Bar Association who act as a sounding board regarding new projects initiated by Bar leaders, and provide insight and advice on various Association issues.
