Calling all cars…calling all cars, or should we say car makers?

The call has gone out to former employees of the Boyertown Auto Body Works, which operated in Boyertown from 1926 until 1990. The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles wants to honor those employees with a reunion to be held at the museum, according to a story by Donna Rovins published in The Mercury.

Cook said the museum is currently gathering names and contact information of former employees, so that invitations can be sent once final plans for the reunion are made.“We wouldn’t be here if not for those people,” said museum Curator Kendra Cook. “We want them to come in and enjoy the building and the collection. They are part of it — their history is so intertwined with what we have here.”

A firm date has not yet been decided, but the reunion will likely be held in the spring of 2018 at the museum at 85 S. Walnut St. in Boyertown.
