Bird Watcher’s Digest is aiming to expand the audience for its American Birding Expo by bringing North America’s biggest birdwatching and bird-feeding event to the Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, writes Marcus Schneck for Penn Live.

The expo is a showcase of products and services for bird and nature enthusiasts. Over a hundred companies and organizations from all over the world have stands, representing every aspect birds and nature.

“But the expo is not just about selling stuff,” said Bill Thompson III, editor of Bird Watcher’s Digest and the organizer. “We’re also eager to introduce new people to birdwatching and bird feeding.”

The event will run from September 29 to October 1. It will be open noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $10 and free for children 16 and under.
