Renovations plans for a century-old mansion in Radnor Township have gained a huge boost through a $1 million anonymous donation, writes Alison Burdo for Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Willows at 490 Darby-Paoli Road, covers almost 48-acres including a picturesque pond and fountains.

But the million dollar donation is not enough to finance the entire renovation efforts, as Radnor Township still has to come up with another nearly $2.75 million to finish the work.

For now, the donation will help kick start three renovation phases.

The first will address health and safety needs, the second will create an open floor plan, while the third will add a glass enclosed room with a view of the pond.
