The reboot of Montgomery County’s Peace A Pizza mini-chain into Snap Custom Pizza has turned into a resounding success for its founders, writes Michael Klein for Philly.com.

The rebooted pizza chain opened its sixth location last week in Conshohocken, with another opening soon in Bala Cynwyd. These follow the conversion of two former Peace A Pizza locations in Ardmore and Bryn Mawr.

Snap gives its customers the option to customize their pizzas and salads from dozens of different toppings for one flat price.

“You’d look at what people want in terms of customization, freshness, the ability to modify and get exactly what you want, how you want it, when you want it,” said Howey in an interview with Philly.com. ”I think Snap gives you all those things.”

More importantly he said, instead of getting a three or four hour old slice of pizza, the customer always gets something fresh, directly out of the oven.

However he noted that despite the options, one thing has remained the same over the last 20 year, the customers’ favorite pizza.

“I think for the last 20 years, the margherita, whether it’s Peace A Pizza or Snap.“
