A year after it first opened, the new luxury wing of King of Prussia Mall has proved to be a hit with visitors, writes Suzette Parmley for Philly.com.

The 155,000-square-foot corridor that links Court and Plaza officially opened on August 18 last year. Its popularity with shoppers was boosted by it $7 valet parking, concierge service that includes complimentary coffee, and charging stations for electronic devices and electric cars.

Rick Sokolov, president and chief operating officer for Simon Property Group which owns King of Prussia Mall, said the project is working exactly as planned by fully integrating the two separate buildings.

“All of the tenants that moved from over the existing wing to new flagship stores under the expansion have dramatically increased their sales,” said Sokolov. “The expansion itself has substantially increased the traffic flow between the two parts of the mall.”

He added that a big part of the wing’s success can be found in the number of new tenants that have already moved in, and those that are getting ready to open such as the men’s clothing store Indochino.
