Assistant Director of Development

Reporting to the Director of Development and Alumni Relations, this position is responsible for strategic execution and management of the individual and annual giving programs; and securing support from the alumni, students, faculty and staff, parents, and friends of Manor College.

Support of development operations will be provided through corporate, government, and foundation relations. Additionally, he/she will act as an alumni relations officer for the college and work with its volunteers and supporters to ensure quality engagements for all constituencies.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree and two to five years of directly applicable sales, fundraising, and/or marketing experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. He/she must have the demonstrated ability to raise annual philanthropic support through direct marketing techniques, and a proven record of successful solicitation campaigns across several media.

The person should also have experience managing direct mail and email campaigns, strong written and verbal skills, and the demonstrated ability to build relationships and move constituents through a donor pipeline. He/she should also have demonstrated creativity and strategic thinking with the ability to take initiative and the willingness to learn. Telephone marketing and solicitation experience is preferred, as is grant writing experience.
