Brides and bridesmaids who were caught off guard by the closure of Alfred Angelo have been given a lifeline by Conshohocken’s David’s Bridal with offers of discounts and alterations.

The nation’s top wedding and special occasion retailer is giving a 30 percent discount on all its gowns including those on sale, to brides whose purchases at Alfred Angelo will not be honored.

In addition, its bridesmaid dresses have been discounted by 20 percent and the store is waiving alteration fees on upcoming events that have a tight timeframe.

Brides and their party members can visit any David’s Bridal location and present their Alfred Angelo receipt to take advantage of this offer until August 14. And while the offer is not valid online, customers are encouraged to browse the wide selection of gowns at the store’s website before visiting.

“David’s Bridal is extending a special offer open exclusively to impacted customers,” said Paul Pressler, Chairman and CEO of David’s Bridal.

“With 300+ stores nationwide, many in close proximity to Alfred Angelo locations, we are in a unique position to help brides find the dress of their dreams.”
