Norristown’s Five Saints Distilling has received multiple rewards for its spirits from several International Spirits Competitions over the last three month.

Two Montgomery County distilleries are available for tourists and locals looking to plan their own tour of Philadelphia spirits producers using a newly launched online map, according to a staff report from Philly.com.

By using the Philadelphia Area Distillery Trail, visitors can plan out their own tour to visit local distilleries and stock up on artisan drinks to enjoy at home. Two must-sees on the tour are Montco’s Norristown’s Five Saints Distilling and Lansdale’s Boardroom Spirits.

The site has been put together by local distilleries, including Philadelphia’s Rowhouse Spirits. It gives users an easy-to-follow map that includes distilleries from Camden to Lancaster.

According to Dean Browne, owner and distiller of Rowhouse Spirits, the idea for the site came from visitors to his own distillery. He found that the majority of them were surprised to find that there were so many liquor producers in the Philadelphia area.

“We often get people wandering into our distillery, and they are shocked to learn just how many distilleries there are in the area,“ said Brown.

“We’ll often encourage them to visit other tasting rooms, but it’s still on them to remember each distillery and then find them. The new website just makes it easy for people to explore and try new spirits.”
